Dermalogica PRO Services

Founded in 1986 by Jane Wurwand, Dermalogica emerged at a time when the skincare industry was dominated by highly fragranced, cosmetically driven products, often positioned more around luxury and aesthetic appeal than skin health. Wurwand challenged this paradigm by creating a brand that was clinican led, education first, and results driven. 

 

The shift was deliberate and disruptive:

  • Moving away from “pink, perfumed beauty”

  • Introducing minimalist grey and white clinical packaging

  • Prioritising skin health over cosmetic masking

  • Supporting professional clinicans with education and treatment protocols

 

From the outset, Dermalogica was designed not just as a product line, but as a professional treatment system, combining in clinic services with prescribed home care. This focus still continues to date, with Dermalogica remaining at the forefront of innovation and now with the launch of Dermalogica PRO, professional service solutions for advanced clinics.

Over the past four decades, the aesthetic industry itself has transformed significantly as has Dermalogica.

 

Botox was only approved for cosmetic use in 2002, and most of the laser technologies we use today really became established from the late 1990s onwards, and they too are still evolving with new innovations.

Today’s practitioners, including nurses, dermal therapists and doctors, are working in a far more advanced clinical environment, integrating modalities such as:

  • Chemical peels

  • Regenerative medicine (incl exosomes, peptides, NAD+)

  • Lasers, needling pens and devices

  • Barrier repair and inflammation management

  • Pigmentation and melasma correction protocols

 

Dermalogica has evolved alongside this shift, continually advancing its formulations, professional systems and education to remain clinically relevant. Yes, we still have our ever popular Daily Skin Health range, but this is not what Dermalogica PRO is all about. We have advanced, we have evolved and we are still leaders in the field of skin.

Today, with the introduction of Dermalogica PRO, we offer a complete continuum of advanced skin treatments and solutions, ranging from foundational barrier repair and maintenance through to advanced corrective treatments. This includes:

  • High strength professional chemical peels with clinically relevant actives and controlled delivery systems

  • Targeted treatments for complex conditions such as pigmentation and melasma, incorporating multi pathway approaches

  • Advanced in clinic technologies and modalities such as nanoinfusion and our microneedling device, including integration with regenerative concepts such as exosome and peptide supported treatments.
